Erick Sanchez is an undergraduate student in the Kaur Lab at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), majoring in Biological Sciences. Under Michaela's mentorship, he supports her research while developing technical skills in Drosophila handling, fly crosses, data analysis, and microinjections. He hopes to pursue an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. and contribute to research that advances medicine. Outside the lab, Erick enjoys powerlifting and watching anime.
